Speaking of champions, I received some fantastic jello-related gifts for my birthday from people who just really get me. 

The rooster mold and hard-cover (!) cookbook are from dear family friends. The original owner of the rooster mold (our friend’s dad) even carefully relocated the hook at the top so he (the rooster) would hang straight. That’s a dedication to aesthetic that I can totally appreciate.

The jelly babies are all the way from the UK and were a very sweet gift from my partner’s parents. I haven’t met them yet, but given that they mailed jello molds across the Atlantic Ocean to commemorate my birthday, I love them already.

I did some late-night jello making yesterday and there’s more on the docket for tonight so stay tuned for something not related to the train-wreck that is the Republic National Convention taking place in the US right now. You’re welcome in advance.
