Gelatina

Today I took my last trip into “the city” (San Francisco) for a few meetings and decided to play hooky for a few hours and enjoy the abnormally warm and sunny day. I walked along the Embarcadero and through the (touristy but always fun) Ferry Building. One of my favorites restaurants (Slanted Door) has a take-away counter so I ate pork buns and sticky rice in the sunshine and missed Vietnam a lot.

On my walk out I spotted these bright little gems at the La Cocina (a very cool incubator for food entrepreneurs) kiosk. They are handmade with love by a very talented woman named Rosa.

I picked up a little red flower that was just as tasty as it was pretty.

My dream is to learn how to do this myself. One day.
